# bindro — Small independent music venues > Bindro sells advance and walk-up tickets for independent music venues under 500 capacity, works the door offline, and works out what each artist is owed from the show's own takings. You pay 2.5% + $0.99 per paid ticket and nothing else; free shows cost nothing. Splits are basis points that must total 100%, set per show or as a house default, frozen onto the payout when it is scheduled. One payout per show, two days after the last set. It does not hold your artists' bank details, so you still send their money yourself. Canonical page: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/ Reviewed: 2026-08-09 ## Facts - Inventory model: fixed pool. - Pricing models: flat, tiered, early bird, season pass. - Fees: 2.5% + $0.99 per paid ticket; free shows cost nothing. - Payouts: one payout per event, released 2 days after that event's LAST session has ended (medium risk tier, 9% reserve). Never before delivery, and a show sold as a run of dates pays out once, after the final date. - Check-in: qr, works offline. - Joining: free, alone, in minutes. No contract, no monthly fee and no card at signup. A payout destination is verified before the first payout, never before the first sale. - Booking fee default: the punter pays it. A venue can absorb it or split it per show; the fee itself does not change with the choice, only which side of the sale it comes from. - Overselling is structurally impossible: inventory moves only under a row lock inside the transaction that confirms the order, with a database constraint behind that as a backstop rather than as the mechanism. - The number this vertical is run on: Net per show after splits. Also tracked: advance vs door split, no-show rate, bar spend per head. The console computes the north-star figure and prints the arithmetic under it, beside this venue's own funnel with the drop-off at each stage, where the traffic came from, refund, transfer, turnout, no-show, add-on and repeat rates each shown with its numerator and denominator, gross, fees and refunds per show, live remaining capacity during the show, and CSV exports of orders and punters. A step the platform cannot observe says so rather than reporting a zero. - Data export: orders and punters as CSV from the console at any time, behind a fresh one-time code. No export fee, no notice period, no lock-in. - Required before checkout, enforced on the money path: Age verification (18+) for alcohol service. ## Not supported for this vertical - Sending an artist their share directly — bindro works out each party's cut to the cent, freezes it onto the show's payout, shows it by name on your money screen and gives each party a link to their own settlement, but it holds no bank details for anyone except you. A split show therefore settles to nobody until that changes, and the console says so rather than reporting a transfer that did not happen. You still pay the artist yourself; what you no longer do is work out what they are owed. - Deal clauses that pick between two shapes — a guarantee off the top, the show's own costs recovered by whoever paid them, and each party's percentage of what is left are all modelled. A "greater of the guarantee or the door split" clause and a breakpoint are not: the settlement cuts one shape, not whichever turns out larger on the night. - Reserved seating — seat maps are configured as optional for music venues and are not resolved, so a seated show sells from a capacity pool like any other. There are no seat numbers, no seating plan and no seat picker. - A waitlist when a show sells out — that capability is not declared for this vertical, so the sold-out page carries no join form and a sold-out show is simply sold out. - A resale marketplace — it is not built, and the configuration says so in as many words. A punter who cannot come hands the ticket on by name; there is no listing page, no face-value exchange and no price cap to enforce. - Cash taken at the door — the walk-up till charges a card on the operator's device. Cash ticket sales are deliberately not recorded, because crediting the platform for money it never held would pay you for the same ticket twice at payout. - Bar and merch till takings as platform money — a till sale is recorded so the night's numbers are complete, but the money stays with you and never enters the platform ledger, a payout or an artist's split. Merchandise pre-ordered with a ticket at checkout is the opposite: that is platform money and it is inside the split. - Wristbands, gift cards and venue subscriptions — all three are configured as optional for music venues and none is resolved, so each is a clean refusal rather than a half-working feature. Entry is by QR code. - A share card or link-in-bio page for a show — the shareable landing page and generated social image are declared for club promoters and not for venues, so a listing is shared as an ordinary link. You can embed the ticket page in your own site, which is a core capability. - Running your room outside the United States — host onboarding offers one country today. A show can now be priced tax-inclusive, so the ticket price you publish is the price paid; bindro still registers nobody for VAT, issues no VAT invoice and files no return. ## Questions the landing page answers - How should I list a residency or a run of nights so the money arrives when I need it? - Can bindro send the artist their share directly? - What actually happens when a show is pulled? - What about seated shows, waitlists, wristbands and cash on the door? - What is the smallest thing I can try before moving a whole programme across? https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/ ## Pages - FAQ (21 questions): https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/faq/ - bindro vs DICE: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/compare/dice/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - bindro vs Tixr: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/compare/tixr/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - bindro vs Eventbrite: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/compare/eventbrite/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - bindro vs See Tickets: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/compare/see-tickets/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - Settling a show with the artist: what bindro works out, and what you still send: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/blog/settling-a-show-with-the-artist/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - Working the door of a basement venue with no phone signal: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/blog/working-the-door-with-no-signal/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - On-sale day for a 200-capacity room: tiers, pools and holding tickets back: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/blog/on-sale-day-for-a-small-room/ (reviewed 2026-08-09) - Named ticket transfer instead of resale: what it stops, and what it does not: https://bindro.io/vertical/music-venue-ticketing/blog/named-transfer-instead-of-resale/ (reviewed 2026-08-09)
